Without school, parents forced to care for own children

This is worth reporting? On a snowy day, somebody at home in Massachusetts made a phone call, and her child asked for something to eat. It sounds like an article from the Onion: “Area Mom Talks on Phone, Fields Request for Snack.”

From the article: “Cheryl Stober, a working mother stuck at home in Newton, Mass., had a similar problem: While on a call with her co-worker, she got her first ‘I want lunch’ interruption. At 9:13 a.m.”

Oh, the poor dear! What is this world coming to? With the weather and the snow days and the closed daycare centers and the mid-morning snacks and all?
